The interaction between the price of a product and the Thumb Score is a proxy for value for money but cannot be definitive. Our aim is to give you enough information to make an informed decision.

Yes. All car insurance quotes that we provide are for comprehensive cover meaning that you are insured against various damages to your own car as well as damages to other cars and the general public resulting from possible accidents while driving.

Agency repair is an optional feature that might be provided with a certain quote. If this option is provided (value "Yes" is displayed in Agency Repair column on comparison table), it means that your car will be repaired in the manufacturer’s authorized workshop in case of an accident. If this option is not provided, the insurer will choose the garage that will repair your car. The agency repair option is typically provided for newer cars (up to 2 years since first registration).

The access is the amount that you will have to cover yourself for each claim. As an example, if you have an excess of AED 500 on your policy and have claimed a damage repair for AED 2'500, you will need to pay AED 500 for this claim while your insurer will pay the remaining AED 2'000.

Yes. The registration period of your car is 12 months but the Traffic Authorities in the UAE grant you a one month grace period to complete the annual registration of your car. Your insurance is valid for 13 months to cover this grace period. However when buying your new policy, it is best to choose a start date well in advance of your previous policy's expiry date as you CANNOT renew your car registration before the start date of your NEW policy even if you buy the new policy in advance.

Yes, you can buy insurance for a newly purchased car. We will ask you to provide a copy of your dealership quotation instead of your vehicle registration card in order to issue your policy.
